We are part of Esk’etemc, a determined and resourceful First Nation people, who have strong connections to the land, and have long called this area home. Come visit and explore!

Breakfast included: A selection of quality breakfast foods, for you to prepare when and how it suits you. The tiny house has a full kitchen, complete with cookware, dishes, and basics (coffee, tea, drinks and a variety of snacks). We will gladly accommodate special dietary requests.
The home features 2 lofts (Queen mattress in main sleeping loft, and double mattress in 2nd loft) Please note: both sleeping areas are accessed by ladders – discuss mobility issues with us ahead of your stay.
Rates are based on double occupancy, additional person $20/night. (Children 12 and under stay free.) Payment is required at time of booking.
(10% discount for stays 7 nights and longer)
The tiny house is in a semi-private location, the main house just behind it. There is no cell service in our area, but wifi is available. Our home is pet-free, and non-smoking. There is a gas station/store at Alkali Lake (basic groceries), with post office.

My wife and I had a great time at the Esk’et Tiny House to celebrate my birthday this January. Directions to the location were straight forward and easy to follow. The hosts were wonderfully informative and welcoming, the location was magical watching the sunset in the west, the tiny house was beautifully and comfortably outfitted, warm and welcoming, lots of delightful decorative touches and delicious food choices. We watched an entertaining movie in our loft, after relaxing in the inviting hot tub. We especially enjoyed the First Nations motif of the tiny house, the whole experience was unique and memorable overall.

When my friends and I decided to take a trip up to the Tiny House, we had no idea just how incredible our weekend would be. Robert and Bettina were the perfect hosts, going above and beyond to welcome us into their beautiful home and inspiring community. We spent our relaxing weekend with their family as we enjoyed outdoor winter sports (ice skating, sledding, and cross-country skiing!) and had the amazing opportunity to learn about local customs, traditions, and history. The surrounding nature was so breathtakingly beautiful and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed and more — but what really made this an incredible and invaluable experience was Robert and Bettina sharing their knowledge of the land and community. The cultural exchange is something my friends and I will never forget. We plan on making a yearly trip up to the Tiny House! This home is ideal for family vacations, trips with friends, romantic getaways — no matter your reason for visiting, Alkali Lake and the Tiny House will be sure to exceed your expectations!

We spent 2 nights during Christmas at the little house and had an amazing time at this special spot. Robert & Bettina were great communicators, right from the start. We were given very good directions to the little place and every message was responded to quickly, answering all our questions. Checking in was a breeze, and the house was clean, beautifully decorated and filled with so much snacks and breakfast foods! We had a great time ice skating and sliding down the hill with Robert & Bettina and their kids (which were super cute and lovely). Robert & Bettina were great hosts, nothing ever seem too much trouble, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Oh the hot tub was pretty amazing in the cold winter nights! Thanks again for the lovely stay, and all the best to your little family!

Weykt Esk’et Tiny House! I had the pleasure of being the second guest at the home and no doubt it was truly an unforgettable experience. I have been a long time lover of tiny homes having spent time researching and visiting other homes prior. But I never had the chance to stay in one! The Esk’et tiny home is an absolute epic model of tiny homes and well worth it just to see the place! I was lucky to be living near the area and rode my bicycle (which this area is mountain biking heaven so definitely worth it) to the home and sincerely enjoyed getting to know Robert, Bettina and their family. I highly recommend anyone wanting to visit the area to stay at the tiny home. You will not be disappointed! Kukstsemc 🙂

Esk’etemc has been one of the most welcoming places I’ve ever visited; it has a rich history and community members are eager to share about its fascinating past. I’ve been lucky to tour some of its breathtaking surroundings but I’m especially appreciative of Robert and Bettina taking the time to point me in the right direction, or inviting me to join their family on outdoor adventures!
