Whether you’re interested in exploring the rivers and canyons, First Nations culture or taking in the incredible scenery and wildlife in the area - you will find no shortage of inspiring experiences.
Circle Tour - Churn Creek/Gang Ranch/Farwell Canyon
- Go on a spectacular driving tour, in the traditional territory, past our neighbouring First Nation Stswecemc Xgat’tem (Canoe/Dog Creek). Explore the rugged canyons and grasslands of Churn Creek, and visit the historical sacred rock. Head down to the river, have your picnic lunch on the sandy beach, and dip your toes in the mighty Fraser River.
- Continue on to historic Gang Ranch, visit the general store, before continuing to Farwell Canyon, with it’s sand dune, breathtaking BIG views, ancient First Nation petroglyphs, and old homesteads - hike up to the sand dune and/or down to the river. So much history and exploring to do here!
- Loop around on Hwy 20, and back to Alkali Lake. This trip will leave you in awe of the natural beauty of the area.

We’ve got it! - space to run and play, daytrip summer fun at beautiful swimming lakes, scavenging and rock-collecting along the riverbeds, exploring the old homesteads, visiting with the wild horses… Our community has a playground, and we have lots of bikes for kids.
